Hello , new to cotton ownership but have owned trials bikes for many years hence the Fantic !. Got my hands on a lovely 1962 trials model , the guy has owned it from nearly new . It has sat in his garage until now , it’s a non runner but seems to be all there and very original looking. I intend to restore it but hopefully retain its original look without too much new paint . One problem I have immediately is that it was stored with a tank of fuel and this has ruined the steel tank and I now have to source a replacement, I understand fibre glass ones are available but would really like the same , anybody out there that can help and allow me to buy one from them ? Thanks

Hi Fantic. Good to hear of another Cotton being put back together and going to be used as intended. I can’t help you with the tank. As Paul (Cottonjo) said, Paul Powell may be able to help. If not, I have seen some clever tank repairs by skilled welders, so this could be an option if the tank is not too far gone. Good Luck.
