Hi folks. just thought I’d say hello and help!!!🗣 I have two Cottons, a Telstar I am working my way through from one end to the other and a Conquest that once I’ve finished the Telstar and a much modified BSA C15 will be my next project.
I have a problem at the moment with the front wheel on the Telstar and would appreciate some help please, the spacers on the front wheel spindle are of different lengths and one is of a larger inner and outer diameter making it fit like a p—-k up a pint pot! The other appears to be of the correct inner diameter but I’m unsure whether or not the outer is correct.
I have put the wheel in trying the spacers in on either side but either way the wheel is not central in the forks, does anyone have the correct dimensions for the spacers so that I can turn some up?
i know I’ve got the Conquest and could measure the spacers on that but the bikes right at the back of my workshop inside a storage container and it’s behind half a dozen commercial ride on mowers and tractors all none runners and unmovable at the moment.
Thanks for reading and letting me gabble on !

Heyup Frosty
Can't help with your problem, but respond just to let you know that somebody is quite happy to let you gabble on
And is jealous of your Telstar. And the Conquest to be fair

Good morning Juggler
Gabbing is what I’m good at! I’m 71 in August and the good lady, the fearsome one, she who must be obeyed says I’ve talked that much over the years that my mouth is approaching 140 !!!
As for the bikes they represent the fulfilment of an “itch” that goes back to when I was 16, when I get chance I’m going to send the story in to the guys at Cotton Pickings and see if they think it’s worth printing.
Cheers buddy
